Make sure LP LP 29 & 30 are done for Friday 27th. We will be starting our poetry unit with Mr.Lopez this week so get ready to stand on your desks! Before spring break, all students will have written 3 poems and shared one with the class. Those students going to Bamfield need not worry, as they will present their poem after the break. We discussed the figurative language found in 2 songs this week & made some notes:

No Language Power will be assigned in March!
Math:
Grade 9s are continuing their lessons on Chapter 4 (Similar triangles and scale factors). They have a quiz this week on Monday the 24th.
Social:
Thursday March 5th will be an Immigration Test on Chapter #5. In partners, students have been working on an online Module for this Unit and we have had some interesting conversations about type of learning and about being self-directed.
Science
Students have been learning about electricity and circuits.
They have covered topics #1-3 (see
comments and marks on PowerSchool) and
did a couple of days of lab work.
